Main Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 4 ripe bananas mashed
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped walnuts optional
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
