Marinade
- 500 g Chicken breast cut into strips
- 3 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
To Serve
- 4 pieces Pita bread
- 1 cup Tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup Tomato diced
- 1 cup Red onion sliced
- 1 cup Lettuce shredded
1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
2. Add chicken strips to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
4. Grill the chicken strips for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for a minute on each side.
6. Assemble the gyros by placing grilled chicken strips on the pita bread, then topping with tzatziki sauce, diced tomato, sliced red onion, and shredded lettuce.
