Main Ingredients
- 4 cups milk whole or 2%
- 1 tablet Mexican chocolate such as Abuelita or Ibarra
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm.
Add the Mexican chocolate and whisk until completely dissolved.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water to make a slurry.
Pour the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan and whisk continuously.
Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
Serve hot and enjoy!
